A little tasty history :

The latest of the Méditerranée yogurts, Dulce de leche, draws its inspiration from a traditional South American dessert of pure caramel au lait. While this dessert is a popular way to cap off a meal in Latin America, Liberté’s Dulce de leche most likely originated in 14th-century France. In Normandy, a military cook is said to have left a pot of sweetened milk burning. When he eventually remembered what he had done, he returned to find his pot filled with a thick brown jam-like spread of boiled milk. He had just invented confiture de lait, a thick and tasty spreadable caramelized milk paté.

Dulce de Leche is part of the well loved family of Méditérrannée yogurts from Liberté. A 113 g portion of Méditerranée’s Dulce de leche contains 10% of the recommended daily value of calcium, making it a nutritious dessert or snack. Méditerranée’s family of yogurts are made with pure milk, without sugar substitutes or gelatin. They are remarkably thick and creamy, despite containing only 8.5% milk fat, less than ice cream
